6.4.5 dload –s [IP address] [firmware_file]<br />

This command is used to upgrade the firmware of <strong>Prestige</strong> cable router from the LAN side. The “firmware_file” is the parameter of<br />

firmware name. The filename is usually the model name with a *.img extension, e.g., P<strong>964</strong>CR.img. To upgrade firmware for <strong>Prestige</strong>,<br />

follow the steps:<br />

1. Configure PC’s IP address as 192.168.100.2<br />

2. Run TFTP server on the PC and put “P<strong>964</strong>CR.img” into the outbound directory where the “P<strong>964</strong>CR.img” is the firmware<br />

name.<br />

3. Telnet the <strong>Prestige</strong> cable router using user name and password.<br />

4. Enter “cd docsis_ctl” to get into docsis_ctl directory<br />

5. Use “scan_stop” command to bypass the downstream scanning procedure if without headend CMTS.<br />

6. Use “dload –s 192.168.100.2 P<strong>964</strong>CR.img” to start upgrade.<br />

6.5 Other Commands<br />

6.5.1 reset<br />

This command is to resets the system (warm boot).<br />

Example:<br />

reset<br />

6.5.2 bootdelay [ true | false ]<br />

In some environment the CMTS can not sense that CM is rebooting. Use this command to let CMTS has much more time to know<br />

that CM is rebooting.<br />

Example:<br />

bootdelay true<br />

6.5.3 logout<br />

For Telnet clients, this lets the user log out cleanly.<br />

Example:<br />

logout<br />

6.5.4 version<br />

Display the current firmware version.<br />

6.5.5 arpShow<br />

Displays current arp table information.<br />

Example:<br />
