<strong>Call</strong> <strong>for</strong> Bids NL09-01 01 consists of a s<strong>in</strong>gle parcel of<br />
9,558 hectares (23,618 acres), located <strong>in</strong> 90-110 m water depth with<strong>in</strong> the<br />
<strong>Jeanne</strong> d’Arc d<br />
Bas<strong>in</strong> on the Northern Grand Banks<br />
<strong>Jeanne</strong> d’Arc is an oil prolific bas<strong>in</strong>. This Mesozoic-Tertiary<br />
bas<strong>in</strong> produced 294,730 bopd from the Hibernia, Terra Nova and White<br />
Rose giant oil fields dur<strong>in</strong>g the first 6 months of 2009<br />
<strong>Exploration</strong> and Production activity. There are 16 active<br />
<strong>Exploration</strong> Licenses and 45 SDLs (some cover<strong>in</strong>g the same field) <strong>in</strong> the<br />
<strong>Jeanne</strong> d’Arc d<br />
Bas<strong>in</strong> and environs<br />
Parcel location. The parcel offered <strong>for</strong> bid is located <strong>in</strong> the east central<br />
portion of the <strong>Jeanne</strong> d’Arc d<br />

Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA). The Board has<br />
previously conducted a SEA <strong>in</strong> the <strong>Call</strong> <strong>for</strong> Bids NL09-01 01 area<br />
<strong>Call</strong> <strong>for</strong> Bids closure. The bid <strong>for</strong> this will be concluded on<br />
November 19, 2009 at 4 p.m. NL time<br />
