were awarded from each class period. These
students did an excellent job displaying moCon
and force during their science labs and
acCviCes throughout this unit.

Chase Jacobs (Biomedical Research)
On Feb 1, National Job Shadowing Day, 160 Pembroke
Middle 8th grade students were able to job shadow in
the community. Students were able to job shadow at
different companies like Southeastern Veterinarian
Hospital, UNCP, Lumberton Drug and others to explore
what type of career they would like to have one day.

CTE HOSTS ITS FIRST ANNUAL CAREER EXPO
The Career and Technical Education Department of the Public Schools of Robeson County, in conjunction with Hoke and
Scotland counties, hosted the First Annual Career Expo in the Multi-Purpose Pavilion at the Southeastern Agricultural Farmers
Market. This exciting event allowed fourteen hundred eleventh graders an opportunity to explore various careers in
Agriculture, Business Finance and Information Technology, Health Sciences, Technology engineering and Design, Career
Development, Marketing and Entrepreneurship, Family and Consumer Sciences, Trade and Industrial. Special thanks to all
the vendors who attended: Lumberton Police Department, Golden Living Center of Lumberton, Debbie’s Destinations, Two
