PAGE 41 Fixed & Floating Pillow Block - Standard Series Replaces Fafnir SAL This Ketchie-Houston standard series pillow block is designed for applications in which higher than usual temperatures are encountered, or laterally floating mountings are required. The floating unit allows its bearing to move axially as the shaft expands, while the fixed unit maintains shaft locations. These units use a standard series wide inner ring bearing with an eccentric locking collar. An external self-aligning ring is fitted to the spherical surface of the outer ring. These units are fitted with oil tight seals. They are normally fitted for oil lubrication but can be converted to grease lubrication when specified. All units are universally designed.
