Fire alarm
A smoke detector went off because of
smoke in a room in the Residence Hall.
The alarm was caused by a person in a
room who had an item in the microwave
for too long. The Laramie County Fire
Department responded and examined
the building.

Harassment
A student reported being stalked and
harassed. Campus Safety and Security
(CSAS) offered services to escort the
student.
Sept. 14
Suspicious event
An employee issue occurred in vehicle
maintenance area. CSAS responded
and reviewed camera footage of the
event.
Sept. 15
Suspicious event
CSAS was notified of an individual
who seemed out of place in the area.
CSAS was unable to locate the individual
in the area described.
Sept. 16
Medical/injury
An individual was cutting metal in
the auto body and accidentally cut off
the tip of his finger. American Medical
Response took the individual to the
hospital.

Found property
A wallet was fond in the parking lot
and was placed in the property vault.
The owner was contacted, and it was
returned to the owner.

An individual sprayed himself with
pepper spray. He was instructed to wash
out his eyes.

Suspicious person
A student was approached by a
male in the outer horse stall area, who
followed her around, asking her on a
date. When she called her mother, the
individual left the scene. CSAS checked
the area and was unable to locate the
individual.

911 hang up
CSAS was notified 911 had been
called and hung up on somewhere on
the campus. CSAS checked the campus
and was unable to locate the phone
from which the call was made.

Fire alarm
CSAS was notified that a signal was
being received from an alarm in the
Health Science Building. The area was
checked, and there appeared to be an
error in the alarm system.

CSAS was notified that a signal was
being received from an alarm in the
North Central Plant. The building was
checked, and there appeared to be an
error in the system.

Unwanted attention
An individual in the College
Community Center felt that another
individual was stalking her, and she
wanted it to stop. CSAS was notified told
the other individual to stop.

Accident with property damage
A person said another vehicle had
backed into her vehicle in parking
lot B. The Laramie County Sheriff’s
Department was notified.

Found property
A wallet was turned over to CSAS.
The owner of the wallet was contacted
and retrieved the wallet.

Medical
CSAS heard over the radio of emergency
service being dispatched to the
Arp Building because of a seizure. CSAS
responded, and the person was unresponsive.
Emergency services responded,
and the person was transported to
the hospital.
Sept. 20
Suspicious event
A person claimed almost to be hit
by another vehicle while entering the
college parking lot through the south
entrance. CSAS was unable to locate the
vehicle described.

Harassment
An employee in the Administration
Building was being harassed by another
individual. The Laramie County Sheriff’s
Department was notified.

Found property
Two debit cards were turned over
to CSAS in the CCC and locked in the
property vault.
Sept. 25
Disturbance
A disturbance on the soccer field was
created by the visiting soccer team because
of referee calls. CSAS was called to
accompany the referee across the field
while he conversed with the assistant
coach of the visiting team.

Larceny
A person claimed a pair of jeans was
taken from the Residence Hall. CSAS
investigated, and the jeans were located
and returned to the owner.

Suspicious event
An individual was approached by
another person in the cafeteria who
claimed to know her. The individual
did not know the other person and felt
uncomfortable.

Medical
CSAS heard over the radio of emergency
units being dispatched to the
Agriculture Building because of a seizure.
Upon the CSAS arrival, the person
was conscious and alert. The individual
was taken home.

Lost or stolen property
An individual reported that a missing
purse contained $27 in currency, some
change, a Wyoming driver’s license and a
Wyoming identification card. CSAS was
unable to locate the purse.

Harassment
An individual in the Business Building
felt another person was being harassing
and was concerned about the statements
the other individual was making. The
Laramie County Sheriff’s Department
was notified.

Found property
CSAS found a cellphone lying on the
ground in Parking Lot L. It was placed in
the property vault.
Sept. 30
Alcohol incident
An individual was seen bringing an
open bottle of beer into the Residence
Hall. CSAS responded, and the Laramie
County Sheriff’s Department was
notified. Two individuals were cited for
minor in possession.
Oct. 1
Physical assault
A fight between two individuals
occurred in the Residence Hall. The
Laramie County Sheriff’s Department
was notified. One individual was taken
to the hospital for stitches, and a nonstudent
was cited for assault.
Oct. 3
Found property
CSAS received a student identification
card. CSAS was unable to contact the individual
because of a wrong number. The
card was placed in the property vault.
Oct. 4
Found property
CSAS received a debit card. The owner
of the card was contacted and requested
it be destroyed.
