CLUB COURAGEOUS<br />

Thursdays, 4:30 – 5:30 pm, January 10 –March 14<br />

Club Courageous is a 5-week support group for<br />

children ages 6-12 who have been impacted by<br />

cancer. Participants will participate in a variety of<br />

educational, art and support-based activities to help<br />

process <strong>the</strong>ir cancer experience. Parents will be<br />

invited to attend <strong>the</strong> final session.<br />

TEEN SUPPORT GROUP<br />

January 9, January 23, February 6, February 20<br />

and March 6, 6:30 – 8 pm<br />

Our Teen Support Group helps teens ages 12-16<br />

whose lives have been impacted by cancer. This<br />

group will provide participants with <strong>the</strong> opportunity<br />

to discuss changes <strong>the</strong>y have experienced in <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

personal, family, and social lives and process <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

emotions surrounding <strong>the</strong>ir journey with cancer.<br />

Good Grief is an 11-week time limited group providing<br />

education and emotional support for participants<br />

of <strong>LivingWell</strong> who recently experienced <strong>the</strong> loss of<br />

a loved one to cancer. Topics include <strong>the</strong> stages of<br />

grief, coping with holidays and special events, and<br />

techniques to help participants grow through <strong>the</strong> grief<br />

process. Group is open to new members during <strong>the</strong><br />

first two weeks of <strong>the</strong> quarter.<br />

GOOD GRIEF FOR PARENTS<br />

Good Grief for Parents is a 5-week bereavement<br />

group providing education and emotional support for<br />

parents who have lost a child to cancer. Topics include<br />

<strong>the</strong> stages of grief, coping with holidays and special<br />

events, and techniques to help parents grow through<br />

<strong>the</strong> grief process. Sessions will be offered for parents<br />

who have lost an adult child as well as for parents<br />

who have lost a child under <strong>the</strong> age of 18. To register<br />

please contact program coordinator, Laurel Fisher, LPC<br />

at <strong>LivingWell</strong>.<br />

Session 1:<br />

Wednesdays, January 9 –February 6, 6:30 – 8 pm<br />

Open to parents who have lost a child under <strong>the</strong> age<br />

18 to cancer<br />

Session 2:<br />

Wednesdays, February 20 –March 13, 6:30 – 8 pm<br />

Open to parents who have lost an adult child to<br />

cancer<br />

ME TOO: CHILDREN’S GRIEF<br />

Our Me Too group offers grief support for children<br />

ages 6-12 who have experienced <strong>the</strong> death of a parent,<br />

sibling, relative or friend due to cancer. Group is<br />

open to new members during <strong>the</strong> first two weeks of<br />

<strong>the</strong> quarter. Registration is required. Call for meeting<br />

dates/times.<br />

and March 13, 6:30 – 8 pm<br />

Our Teen Grief group focuses on helping teens, ages<br />

12-16, process <strong>the</strong> emotions involved with losing a<br />

loved one.<br />
