KNITTING CIRCLE<br />
Tuesdays, 1:00 – 2:30 pm<br />
Do you knit, crochet or do needlepoint Repetitive needle<br />
work has been found to relieve stress and anxiety resulting<br />
in improved health. Join us in <strong>the</strong> afternoon for snacks,<br />
coffee and socializing. Bring your friends and family; this<br />
group is open to <strong>the</strong> community.<br />
MEN & CANCER BREAKFAST<br />
Saturdays, January 19, February 16 and March 16<br />
8:00 – 9:15 am<br />
Enjoy a hot breakfast and spend informal time with fellow<br />
male survivors, caregivers, and those who have lost a loved<br />
one. Share information and stories, and discuss current<br />
events or personal issues in a social setting. Join us and<br />
discover <strong>the</strong> support, camaraderie and comfort benefits of a<br />
men’s fellowship group.<br />
REFLECTION OF EXPRESSION*<br />
Tuesdays, January 15 –February 12, 10:00 –11:30 am<br />
Thursdays, February 21–March 21, 6:00 – 8:00 pm<br />
Art can be a healing and life enhancing activity, especially<br />
during <strong>the</strong> challenging times of a cancer diagnosis. Relax<br />
and let your imagination guide you in expressing your<br />
creativity through various art media. No previous art<br />
experience or skills required. Open to those ages 18 and<br />
older. Please specify which session you are registering for<br />
(Tuesday or Thursday).<br />
* Priority registration will be given to those who have<br />
not attended previously.<br />
WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP<br />
Wednesdays, 10 am-noon or 1:00 – 3:00 pm<br />
Class begins January 9<br />
Let loose and have fun with watercolor paint! Watercolor<br />
artist, Ann Schuster, will teach you <strong>the</strong> basics of<br />
watercolor painting. No previous art experience required.<br />

NUTRITION CONSULTATIONS<br />
<strong>LivingWell</strong> is pleased to offer nutrition consultations<br />
with our registered dietitian to those diagnosed<br />
with cancer. Please call <strong>LivingWell</strong> to request an<br />
appointment.<br />
CULINARY COMFORTS<br />
Wednesdays, February 6, 13, 20 & 27, 6:00 –7:30 pm<br />
Culinary Comforts is a 4-week class that teaches<br />
healthy food preparation and is designed for people<br />
living with cancer and <strong>the</strong>ir caregivers. Our instructors<br />
will prepare and serve <strong>the</strong> group one entrée, one side<br />
dish, and one dessert each class. The health benefits<br />
of <strong>the</strong> ingredients and <strong>the</strong> preparation of <strong>the</strong> food are<br />
discussed so that recipes can be easily replicated at<br />
home. Most recipes are based on <strong>the</strong> publications One<br />
Bite at a Time and The <strong>Cancer</strong> Fighting Kitchen by<br />
Rebecca Katz. Commitment to <strong>the</strong> four week series<br />
is preferred. Those attending all four sessions will<br />
receive a complimentary copy of The <strong>Cancer</strong> Fighting<br />
Kitchen.<br />
