Genuine Yamaha Pistons
The piston reciprocates in the cylinder
at high speed and is constantly exposed
to high temperature (400 to 500°C) as well
as pressure (30 to 50 kg/cm2).
The piston materials must meet various
requirements including mechanical
strength, thermal conductivity for good
heat dissipation, low thermal expansion,
etc. They must also be light.
Therefore, a genuine Yamaha piston
(made of cast aluminum alloy) is the
combined result of state-of-the-art material
technology, microscopic designing
and manufacturing and machining
technologies.
Even a comparison test of only three
hours reveals a major difference in quality
between genuine and non-genuine
