That Metzger <strong>Family</strong> <strong>and</strong> Others<br />

The Metzger book begins with Johann Georg Metzger<br />

(1740-1800), in the small town of Schonaich, Germany<br />

in ab1740. It includes the immigration from<br />

Germany to the Ukraine, Russia. Then the Metzgers,<br />

immigrated again to America in late 1800s to North<br />

<strong>and</strong> South Dakota, Kansas, <strong>and</strong> Canada. It follows 8<br />

generations. Others who have information included<br />

are Bitz, Wagner, Schaffner <strong>and</strong> many others. The<br />

book is 8½"x11", hardbound, many family group<br />

sheets, pedigree charts, pictures, maps <strong>and</strong> personal<br />

That Wadlington <strong>Family</strong> <strong>and</strong> Others<br />

The author states, that to her knowledge, this book<br />

contains the largest collection of Wadlington names<br />

that is known with 455 Wadlington names. The book<br />

begins with Thomas Wadlington (1710-1777) in Fairfax<br />

Co., Virginia. It follows the Wadlingtons as they<br />

immigrate to South Carolina, western Kentucky <strong>and</strong><br />

on to Mississippi <strong>and</strong> other states. Other families who<br />

married into the Wadlington families are Wyatt, Babb,<br />

Wood, Carner, Moore/Coleman <strong>and</strong> Burch. The book<br />
