Even though the applicant's agent suggests there are no<br />

material <strong>planning</strong> considerations to prevent this<br />

application I note that the marquee is to be used as an<br />

ancillary wedding venue effectively through the warmer<br />

summer months. Such a use will regularly involve the use<br />

<strong>of</strong> music and given the site is located some 60 m from<br />

residential properties any such use will disturb the<br />

residential properties some 60m away.<br />

The proposed development appears to be a stand alone<br />

facility capable <strong>of</strong> catering for large weddings and<br />

functions. It is clearly well detached from the existing hotel<br />

and there would be the potential for more than one event<br />
