LCvR39.2 Courtroom Decorum.<br />
Each judge will direct parties, either orally or by written statement, regarding<br />
appropriate and proper courtroom decorum.<br />
LCvR39.3 Use <strong>of</strong> Electronic Devices, Photographs, or Tape Recorders at Trial.<br />
(a) The taking <strong>of</strong> photographs and operation <strong>of</strong> tape recorders and radio or<br />
television broadcasting in the courthouse during the progress <strong>of</strong> or in connection with judicial<br />
proceedings, including proceedings before a United States Magistrate Judge, whether or not<br />
Court is actually in session, is prohibited.<br />
(b) A judge may, however, permit the use <strong>of</strong> electronic or photographic means for<br />
the presentation <strong>of</strong> evidence or the perpetuation <strong>of</strong> a record, and the broadcasting, televising,<br />
recording, or photographing <strong>of</strong> investitive, ceremonial, or naturalization proceedings.<br />
(c) The Court prohibits the use <strong>of</strong> cellular telephones, pagers, or other electronic<br />
communication devices in the courtroom. Such devices may be carried on the person within<br />
a courtroom only if the device is turned <strong>of</strong>f or non-auditory.<br />
LCvR39.4 Use <strong>of</strong> Exhibits at Trial.<br />
(a) Marking and Disclosure. Unless otherwise ordered, all exhibits and<br />
documents which are to be introduced in evidence are to be marked for identification, which<br />
shall include the case number, and physically exchanged or exhibited to opposing counsel<br />
at least three calendar days before submission <strong>of</strong> the pretrial report.<br />
(b) Withdrawal. Unless otherwise ordered by the Court, all exhibits introduced<br />
in evidence in the trial <strong>of</strong> the case shall be withdrawn at the close <strong>of</strong> trial and remain in the<br />
custody <strong>of</strong> the party introducing the evidence. The Court may order the party introducing<br />
exhibits which are bulky, heavy, firearms, or controlled substances to retain custody <strong>of</strong> such<br />
exhibits during the trial. Any such order shall provide for preservation <strong>of</strong> the exhibit as<br />
justice may require.<br />
