LCvR73.1 Magistrate Judges - Consent Authority.<br />

(a) With the consent <strong>of</strong> the parties, each full-time United States Magistrate Judge<br />

appointed by this Court is specifically designated to exercise the authority and jurisdiction<br />

provided by 28 U.S.C. § 636(c) and Fed. R. Civ. P. 73 to conduct any or all proceedings in<br />

a jury or non-jury civil matter and to order the entry <strong>of</strong> judgment in the case.<br />

(b) The parties may consent to Magistrate Judge jurisdiction at any time during<br />

the pendency <strong>of</strong> a case.<br />

(c) The joint form <strong>of</strong> consent shall be executed by the parties unless one <strong>of</strong> the<br />

parties is a pro se prisoner, in which case separate consent forms may be submitted.<br />

(d) After the consent form has been executed and filed, the Clerk shall transmit<br />

it to the assigned district judge for approval and reference <strong>of</strong> the case to the assigned<br />

magistrate judge for all further proceedings.<br />

XI. DISTRICT <strong>COURT</strong>S AND CLERKS.<br />

LCvR78.1 Oral Arguments.<br />

Oral arguments or hearings on motions or objections will not be conducted unless<br />

ordered by the Court.<br />

XII. GENERAL PROVISIONS.<br />

LCvR81.1 Removed Actions - Demand for Jury Trial.<br />

Unless demanded in the state court, trial by jury is waived in any case removed from<br />

a state court unless a demand for a jury trial is filed and served within 10 days after the notice<br />

<strong>of</strong> removal is filed if the party is the one who filed the removal, or if not the one who filed<br />

the removal, within 10 days after receiving service <strong>of</strong> the notice <strong>of</strong> removal.<br />
