LCrR44.2 Claims for Compensation Regarding Indigent Defense Fees.<br />
All Criminal Justice Act (CJA) vouchers shall be submitted within forty-five (45) days<br />
after a case is dismissed or after a defendant is sentenced. Any voucher submitted beyond<br />
forty-five (45) days and less than one (1) year after the case is dismissed or after a defendant<br />
is sentenced shall be accompanied by a letter demonstrating good cause why the voucher<br />
should be paid. Any application, letter or vouchers submitted more than one (1) year after the<br />
case is dismissed or after a defendant is sentenced shall be summarily denied.<br />
LCrR46.1 Issuance <strong>of</strong> Writs for Witnesses in Custody.<br />
It is the responsibility <strong>of</strong> the party calling the witness to prepare writs for appearance<br />
<strong>of</strong> witnesses in custody.<br />
LCrR47.1 Motion Practice.<br />
(a) For pre-trial motion practice, see LCrR12.1.<br />
(b) For post-trial and post-conviction motions, with the exception <strong>of</strong> a motion filed<br />
pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2255, a response shall be filed within 18 days after the motion is filed.<br />
For motions filed pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 2255, no response is necessary unless ordered by the<br />
Court.<br />
LCrR49.1 Filing by Electronic Means.<br />
Pursuant to Rule 49(d) <strong>of</strong> the Federal Rules <strong>of</strong> Criminal Procedure, the Clerk will accept<br />
papers filed, signed, or verified by electronic means that are consistent with technical<br />
standards, if any, that the Judicial Conference <strong>of</strong> the United States establishes. Any paper filed<br />
by electronic means pursuant to these rules constitutes a written paper for the purposes <strong>of</strong><br />
