' 50072.) Shared housing arrangements in which at least one person is disabled or elderly are supported by<br />
housing payment assistance. (Health and Saf. Code, ' 19902 et seq.)<br />
$ Elderly individuals or individuals with disabilities must be allocated not less than 20<br />
percent nor more than 30 percent <strong>of</strong> the units constructed under the Rental Housing<br />
Construction Program. (Health and Saf. Code, ' 50736, subd. (a).)<br />
$ As a part <strong>of</strong> the de-institutionalization process for individuals with disabilities, the state<br />
will provide housing assistance payments during the transition period from an institution<br />
to an independent setting. Individuals with physical or mental disabilities are qualified for<br />
assistance if they are eligible for rehabilitation, educational, or social services from a<br />
public agency. (Health and Saf. Code, ' 50680 et seq.)<br />
Funds for housing programs are provided by federal, state, and local agencies. These agencies will<br />
take into account your current in<strong>com</strong>e in determining your eligibility for these programs. These financing<br />
programs have been designed to meet the needs <strong>of</strong> low and moderate in<strong>com</strong>e individuals and families.<br />

Housing and Infrastructure Finance Agency and your local housing authority for information about housing<br />
