INTRODUCTION<br />
This general directory lists various legal services and organizations which may be <strong>of</strong> assistance to persons with<br />
disabilities. It is by no means a <strong>com</strong>plete directory <strong>of</strong> services. We have included agencies and organizations which are referred<br />
to in the text <strong>of</strong> this handbook, as well as some legal services organizations which provide primary assistance to persons with<br />
disabilities. Many organizations listed below can refer you to other groups which may be able to help you.<br />
Many <strong>of</strong> the government agencies mentioned in this book and directory have local branch <strong>of</strong>fices. The phone numbers<br />
for these <strong>of</strong>fices can be found in the government listings at the beginning <strong>of</strong> your phone directory, and we have therefore not<br />
included all <strong>of</strong> them here.<br />
Finally, always be sure to call an agency or organization ahead <strong>of</strong> time to find out about accessibility, hours <strong>of</strong><br />
