“Well its been awhile since I have been able to write alittle ditty to all those<br />
happy gardners out there. Being busy in the fields myself. As the heat is<br />
back on,so are the aphids and the havesting of garlic. <strong>The</strong>se two are actually<br />
a great combo. Garlic contains a couple of compounds that kill or repel<br />
insects. It’s most effective against whiteflies, aphids and beetles. If you<br />
don’t mind the smell. Blend one garlic bulb into 2 cups of water,strain and<br />
spray on leaves and stems. Thouroghly cover both upper and lower parts<br />
of the leaves and stems to keep insects away.*** <strong>The</strong> smell can last up to a<br />
week in the garden and repels deer at the same time. It is best if you can<br />
do your spraying early in the day or when it’s cloudy.Hopefully you are<br />
seeing some great results from spring planting now. Onward hoe!!”<br />
