KIDS KORNER The list on the right are open houses and events designed to introduce you to the teachers and staff of each of the Stanwood Camano School District schools. If you have questions regarding these listings or other events, please call the appropriate school. The schools can be found in the phone book or on the district’s website at http:// districtweb. stanwood. wednet.edu/ CEDARHOME ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Cedarhome Kindergarten Curriculum Night: Monday, August 30. 6pm- 7:30pm. School Meet & Greet: Wednesday, September 1. Teachers will be in the classrooms to meet students from 3-4pm. ELGER BAY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Meet & Greet & Ice Cream Social: Wednesday, September 1. You’re invited to bring your school supplies and meet your teachers and staff at EBE from 2pm-3pm. An ice cream social will follow at 3pm. Lincoln Hill High School & Lincoln Hill Academy Open House: Thursday, September 16. 5pm-6:30pm. (no open house before first day of school). PORT SUSAN MIDDLE SCHOOL Open House: Tuesday, August 31. 6th grade -5:00pm to 6:00pm. 7th and 8th grade- 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Open house is a wonderful opportunity to meet your teachers and find your classes before school starts. 6th grade and new 7th and 8th students will attend an informational meeting in the gym. Schedules will be available for pick up during the Open House. SARATOGA SCHOOL Saratoga School Open House: Thursday, September 2. 9am to 1pm. Drop in and meet with Saratoga staff and your Saratoga Consultant. STANWOOD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Open House and PTA Ice Cream Social: Tuesday, August 31 for the families of Stanwood Elementary students from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Come visit Stanwood Elementary, meet your teachers, have some ice cream! We can’t wait to see you! STANWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL Open House at Stanwood Middle School: Wednesday, September 1. 5:00pm – 6th Grade. 6:00pm – 7th and 8th Grade. Schedules and Family Access passwords will be available at the Open House. STANWOOD HIGH SCHOOL Parent Academy: Monday, August 30. Do you have a 9th grade student or new student to Stanwood High School If so, plan to attend our first Parent Academy. The event will include a tour of the high school, information on accessing your child’s grades and attendance, ways to keep informed of school activities, graduation requirements, how to help your student be successful during high school, and more. Starts at 8:15 a.m. Approximate length of the academy is one hour. We will start the academy in the commons of the high school (inside the main building of the school). Student Pictures: Students can come between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on August 30th, 31st, and September 1st to have their picture taken for their ASB card and the annual. Senior Sunrise: Thursday, September 2. An event just for seniors at SHS, held at 6:30 a.m. at SHS stadium). Seniors, plan on meeting up with your fellow students, watch the sunrise together, and start your last school year in the stadium. There will be snacks and beverages as well as entertainment provided. SHS Open House for 2010-2011: September 13. 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. The open house will start in the SHS Performing Arts Center. After a brief review of the high school, parents and students will be able to visit teachers on campus. TWIN CITY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL No events planned at this time.
