Optional Activities for Additional Skill Enhancement<br />

1. Attend a multidisciplinary/psychosocial meeting focusing on the elements of patientand<br />

family‐centered care.<br />

2. Visit and observe a critical care environment and reflect on its potential impact on the<br />

family.<br />

3. Meet with members of the multidisciplinary staff (specifically ‐ pastoral care, social<br />

work, patient relations, etc) for an extended understanding of patient‐ and familycentered<br />

care from their perspective.<br />
