1. Research cultural norms and collaborate with a family to understand their specific<br />
cultural perspectives and perceived influence on family and child health care coping.<br />
2. Compare and contrast child life assessment of needs in relation to other allied health<br />
team perspectives.<br />
3. Explain personal theoretical approach to assessment and experiences that have<br />
influenced that approach. Try changing perspectives and writing goal statements that<br />
fit a different theoretical lens. Compare needs statements from alternative<br />
perspectives.<br />
4. Ask children what their coping goals are and incorporate those goals into care<br />
planning.<br />
