Group 8 – Food, Beverages and
Tobacco
Group 8 organised a casual lunch entitled
“How to Prepare for the Proposed Food
Safety Requirements” in cooperation with
Data World Solutions Ltd on 10 November
2009. The 30 plus members learnt about
how food manufacturers and importers
are preparing for the proposed new
requirements by improving record keeping
and database management on food
stocks. Participants were given practical
information on how to deal with the new
proposals and any problems arising from
the Ordinance.

為 了 協 助 業 界 在 食 物 安 全 條 例 生 效 前 做
好 紀 錄 儲 存 和 數 據 整 理 , 分 組 於 2009 年
11 月 10 日 與 Data World Solutions Ltd
合 辦 了 「 如 何 為 草 擬 中 的 食 物 安 全 規 定
作 準 備 」 輕 鬆 午 餐 聚 會 , 解 說 食 物 安
全 條 例 之 應 對 方 案 , 以 及 食 品 生 產 商 、
入 口 商 及 分 銷 商 如 何 保 存 貨 物 進 出 記
錄 。 午 餐 會 吸 引 了 30 多 名 會 員 出 席 。

At a casual lunch in November 2009, the
Group invited Maggie Wang, Technical
Consultation Manager of Bureau Veritas
Consumer Products Services Hong
Kong, as the guest speaker. Ms Wang
addressed some 20 members on the
import requirements of US and European
countries as well as the latest amended
CPSIA regulations.
