7.0 P RIVATE D EVELOPMENT CONSTRUCTION A CTIVITY<br />

The <strong>Riverside</strong> <strong>County</strong> DAMP describes pollution prevention measures and construction site BMPs<br />

(Section 7.1), development of a construction site inventory/database (Section 7.2), procedures for<br />

construction site inspections (Section 7.3) and enforcement (Section 7.4), notification of the Regional<br />

Board (Section 7.5), annual reporting requirements (Section 7.6), training of municipal staff (Section 7.7)<br />

and education/outreach regarding construction activities (Section 7.7).<br />

7.1 CONSTRUCTION SITE INVENTORY<br />

An inventory of construction sites within/under the jurisdiction of the City of Murrieta is provided in<br />

Appendix E. This inventory of construction sites is updated annually prior to the rainy season.<br />

7.2 CONSTRUCTION SITE INSPECTION<br />

When conducting inspections of construction sites the City of Murrieta staff utilize the inspection form<br />

provided in Appendix F.<br />

7.3 ASSESSMENT OF EFFECTIVENESS<br />

An evaluation of the effectiveness of the Construction component of the SWMP will be included in the<br />

Annual Report. The measurable goals addressed in this evaluation will include:<br />

♦ Number and type of enforcement actions related to construction sites.<br />

♦ Description and number of training efforts conducted during the reporting period, including<br />

number and category of persons (staff inspectors, contractors, construction site operators) trained.<br />

These measurable goals will be considered in an overall assessment of the effectiveness of the<br />

Construction component. In addition, major accomplishments of the Construction component and<br />

changes to be implemented in the subsequent year to improve the effectiveness of the program will be<br />

included in the evaluation. A reporting form for summarizing this evaluation is included in the <strong>Riverside</strong><br />

<strong>County</strong> DAMP.<br />
