Nature Camp
9 am–12 noon

1 pm–4 pm
For children finishing grades 1–4
Go Green! This extremely popular camp is designed
for children who are interested in nature and
the environment. We turn facts about the earth,
outdoors, plants and people into exciting games,
activities and craft projects. Camp is led by an
experienced head counselor and Science teacher.
This program will be held at Point Ariel Park.
Youth Art Lessons
Wednesdays: June 30; Last class August 18
4:30–5: 30 pm
$90 to Masciangelo/$10 to GT(residents)
$20 (non-residents)
This art class is designed for children with a serious
interest in art. Children will learn how to create artwork
in a variety of mediums both 2-D and 3-D. Colored
pencils, pastels, paint, collage, and mask making are
some of the various mediums that students will explore.
All experience levels are welcome. This class is taught by
a skilled and certified art teacher; providing personalized
instruction to meet your child’s needs and interests.
Supplies are included in cost, but students are welcome
to bring their personal art supplies as well. Please bring a
drawing pad and pencil with you. Held at Point Ariel Park.
Tennis Camp
1. June 28–July 1 6–8 pm

This camp gives students ages 7-12 a chance to
have outdoor fun while focusing on the fundamental
tennis skills of ground strokes (forehand & backhand),
air strokes (volley, serve, & overhead), court
movement, tennis etiquette, and proper scoring.
Students will develop abilities through drills, learning
activities, and competitive games. Friday will be
used as a raindate. Held at GT Community Park.
Basketball Camp
1. July 12–16 Grades K–4 1–4 pm
2. Aug 9–13 Grades K–4 9 am–noon
3. Aug 9–13 Grades 5–8 1–4 pm
$40 to C. Senatore/$20 to GT
(residents) $30 (non-residents)
The focus of this camp is to teach basketball skills. Have
fun during this camp while learning the fundamentals
of the sport through skill building. Please bring a drink
and a snack daily and wear sneakers. Instructor Charles
Senatore is back for his 13th year! Held at the Rec Center.
Little Tikes Cheer Camp
July 12–16
6 pm–7:30 pm
Cost: $40 to Diane Jones/$20 to Glo. Twp.
Join this fun camp designed just for ages 4–6.
Your child will learn the basics of cheerleading
including jumps, motions, cheers and chants.
Basic tumbling and dancing will be covered
too. Last night will be a Pep Rally to show off
our skills. Learn from an experienced coach
not only cheerleading skills, but teamwork and
the love of the sport. Held at the Rec Center.
Little Tikes Soccer Camp
July 19–22
6 pm–7:30 pm
Cost: $40 to Jessica Porter/$20 to Glo. Twp.
Join this fun camp designed just for ages 4–6.
This camp will create a foundation of basic
soccer skills for children who have little or no
exposure to the sport. Other goals of the camp
include: building social skills, learning teamwork,
and most of all having fun. Friday will be used
as rain date. Held at GT Community Park.
Theatre Camp
July 12·24 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm 2 WEEKS!
$100 to C. Ahern/$20 to GT
(residents) $30 (non-residents)
This camp is for children ages 8–12 with an
interest in drama. Campers will be introduced
to acting techniques, the stage, improvisation,
interactive group dynamics, and monologues.
The class is designed to increase confidence
and improve public speaking skills in a fun way.
It is led by Chris Ahern, a certified teacher with
experience in theater. Held at Point Ariel Park.
Youth Tennis Lessons
Saturdays: June 12; Last class July 24
$50 to Ron Miller/$10 to GT
(residents) $20 (non-residents)
The Intro course provides fun activities for children
that emphasize basic skills with strokes, terms,
movement and scoring through the use of
instructional games and specialized equipment.
The Beginners class provides a fun environment
where students learn fundamental skills of tennis
(forehand, backhand, volley, serve, court movement,
etiquette, and scoring). A child sized racket is
recommended. Held at GT Community Park.
Intro to Tennis I 8:30–9:25 am Grade 1–3
Intro to Tennis II 9:30–10:25 am Grade 1–3
Beginners I & II 10:30–11:25 am Grade 4–6
13
