• As necessary developing, implementing <strong>and</strong> evaluating written interagency agreements<br />

with LEA’s.<br />

• Maximizing Medicaid/SCHIP, private insurance <strong>and</strong> education funding<br />

• Coordinating, reviewing <strong>and</strong> authorizing direct <strong>care</strong> providers’ claims <strong>and</strong> bills <strong>for</strong><br />

clinical <strong>and</strong> non-clinical services<br />

• Submitting required reports (fiscal, per<strong>for</strong>mance, outcomes, etc.) to the DCYF<br />

• Care Network budget management<br />

• Providing supports <strong>and</strong> services not currently funded by the current payment<br />

methodology (e.g., class trips, recreation, music lessons, tutoring, other special needs <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>children</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>families</strong>)<br />

DCYF REGIONAL OFFICE FUNCTIONS<br />

• Overseeing <strong>and</strong> participating in gate keeping into the lead agency<br />

• Serving as the primary liaison to the lead agency<br />

• Case management <strong>and</strong> clinical conferencing with the lead agency<br />

• Monitoring day-to-day service utilization, program per<strong>for</strong>mance <strong>and</strong> per<strong>for</strong>mance<br />

indicators<br />

• Participating in planning <strong>and</strong> coordinating services among the lead agency, network<br />

providers, DCYF staff, Community Prevention Partnerships <strong>and</strong> other parties<br />

• Technical assistance <strong>and</strong> training<br />

• Participating in service expansion <strong>and</strong> new service development<br />

• Developing network protocols <strong>and</strong> procedures<br />

• Conflict resolution<br />

• Regional budget management<br />
