System Preservation and Maintenance
Woodrow Wilson Bridge (WWB)
The WWB project is complete. The operations, maintenance and inspection of
the new bridge will be handled by a new and innovative process. Maryland and
Virginia are jointly pursuing a turnkey asset management services contract that
will essentially privatize these bridge functions, as well as many other routine
services along the 7.5 mile long I-95/I-495 corridor in which the WWB is located.
This contract will be for a term of five years with two, two-year options for
renewal, for a potential total of nine years.
chapter for more information on the ICC project or go to www.iccproject.com.
