Replicating hub
In a tiered replication scheme, a hub given responsibility for cascading
updates to its peers. The DSA that originated the update offloads replicating
responsibility to the hub.
Schema
A formal definition of the contents and structure of the directory data. This
governs where each entry can be placed within the directory structure, how
entries are to be named, and what attributes each entry can contain.
Tiered replication
During normal replication of an update, an entity will cycle through and
update all mates. In a tiered model the update will be passed on to a mate
outside the group, which will write to its mates.
