DXserver Configuration Files
Sample Configuration Files
DXserver contains a working example DSA configuration. You can use the
example server without modification as described in the appendixes “Installing
DXserver for Windows” and “Installing DXserver for UNIX.” The example
contains three DXserver configurations—Router, DemoCorp and UNSPSC.
Configuration File Types
You can identify file types within the directory configuration structure by their
file name extensions. It is important to use the correct file name extensions when
creating new files.
Use the following file types in a DXserver configuration set:
Extension File type Description
.dxc Configuration Contains one or more commands that set
configuration parameters.
.dxg Group Groups a selection of one or more .dxc
files (in the current directory) using the
DXserver source command.
.dxi Initialization DXserver initialization file. A .dxi file
contains commands to source other (.dxg
and .dxc) files.
.dxs Script Contains commands supported by the
DXcli. You usually use script files for
testing.
