Troubleshooting Guide Trouble 6 72 Room Air Conditioner The heater does not operate at all. Turn off main power Check the wire connection of PTC Heater (Refer to Wiring Diagram) • Check the connecting condition of CN-PTC connector on the indor DC P.C.B Ass'y. • Check the soldering condition of CN-PTC connector on the indoor DC P.C.B Ass'y. Check the Heater driving Circuit. • Check the pattern between MICOM Pin No. 48 → IC02M Pin No. 7 → IC02M Pin No. 10 → CN-PTC If there is no problem result of all above check. • Inner side disconnection of PTC Heater unit or restriced operating condition of PTC Heater (pipe temp. is over 45°C, defrosting operation, compressor off, indoor fan off).
Trouble 7 The Outdoor Unit does not operate at all. Does the Operating LED of indoor unit blink when Operation's ON? NO Is the Connection between indoor power relay Pin ➂ and terminal block No. 1 right? YES Is the connection of cable between indoor and outdoor unit right? YES Is the voltage of Terminal Block , in outdoor Control Box about AC220V / 240V? YES Is the voltage of NF01J ➀, ➁ in outdoor PCB Ass'y about AC220V / 240V when Operation's ON? YES NO NO NO NO Refer to the self-diagnosis function. Check the connecting state of connector Indoor Outdoor 1(Brown) 1(Brown) 2(Blue) 2(Blue) 3(Green/YL) 3(Green/YL) 4(Red) 4(Red) Check the Fuse of Outdoor PCB Ass'y. Check the PTC and RY-PWR. Is the Bridge Diode(BD01S) right? Check the Bring Diode. Replace the PCB Ass'y. YES NO NO Troubleshooting Guide Service Manual 73
