SELECTION EXAMPLE<br />

A 250 HP electric motor is driving a dredge pump at 1,800 RPM. The shaft size of the motor is 2 3 /8 the shaft of the pump is 2 1 /8. The distance<br />

between the shaft ends (DBSE) is 5 inches. The environment is 150° F.<br />

HP/100 RPM = 250 HP × 100 = 13.89 HP/100 RPM<br />
