Admission of Livestock Exhibitors and<br />

Attendants<br />

28.1. On the days of the <strong>Show</strong>, Livestock<br />

Exhibitors and Attendants will be admitted to<br />

the <strong>Show</strong>ground only on production of a valid<br />

Stock Attendants’ Wrist Band or admission<br />

ticket.<br />

28.2. The <strong>Show</strong>ground will close at 8.00 p.m.<br />

daily throughout the <strong>Show</strong>. Thereafter readmission<br />

will be by Stock Attendants’ Wrist<br />

Band. Access will be by the East and North Gates<br />

and Gate 6 only. All other gates will be closed.<br />

Dress of Attendants<br />

29.1. Attendants on Sheep must wear white<br />

coats while leading animals in the judging rings<br />

and during any subsequent Parades that may be<br />

necessary.<br />

29.2. Attendants on Goats and Cattle must<br />

wear white coats while leading animals in the<br />

judging rings and during the Parades in the<br />

Main Ring. Attendants on Dairy Cattle may<br />

wear breed show dress, applicable to breed<br />

society rules.<br />

29.3. Attendants on Heavy Horses must wear<br />

either white coats or kilts, or must be properly<br />

dressed to the satisfaction of the Stewards, while<br />

leading animals in the judging rings and during<br />

the Parades in the Main Ring.<br />

29.4. Attendants leading or riding Light Horses<br />

and Ponies, while not required to wear white<br />

coats, must be properly dressed to the<br />

satisfaction of the Stewards.<br />

29.5. In all cases, where the standard of dress is<br />

not to the satisfaction of the Stewards, Exhibitors<br />

may be refused admission to the judging rings<br />

and the Parade Ring.<br />

Removal of Stock<br />

30.1. On Sunday 26th June, vehicles for removal<br />

of stock will enter by Gate 8a under supervision<br />

and leave by Gate 6 between 7.00 p.m. and 9.00<br />

p.m. and thereafter leave by Gate 1 until 12<br />

midnight. On Monday 27th June, after 6.00 a.m.,<br />

all vehicles must enter by Gate 9 and leave as<br />

directed by Organiser’s staff.<br />

30.2. Sheep, Goats, Cattle, Heavy Horses and<br />

Horses for Heavy Horse Turnouts must remain<br />

within the <strong>Show</strong>ground for the duration of the<br />

<strong>Show</strong> and may not be removed from the<br />

<strong>Show</strong>ground before it closes on the final day of<br />

the <strong>Show</strong> unless on production of a certificate<br />

from the Official Veterinary Surgeon<br />

countersigned by the Chief Steward of the<br />

Section or the <strong>Show</strong> Manager, who may be<br />

contacted via the <strong>Show</strong>ground Security Office at<br />

Gate 1 (East Gate) 24 hours per day. In the event<br />

of exhibits being removed in other<br />

circumstances, without prejudice to any other<br />

rights of the Society, the Board of Directors<br />

reserves the right to withhold prize-monies and<br />

to refuse future entries by the same exhibitor.<br />

30.3. All stock must be removed from the<br />

<strong>Show</strong>ground not later than 12 noon on Monday<br />

29th June unless the written authority of the<br />

<strong>Show</strong> Manager has been given.<br />

Order in Removal<br />

31. When the Stock is leaving the <strong>Show</strong>ground,<br />

no animal is to be moved until ordered by those<br />

in charge of clearing the <strong>Show</strong>ground and<br />

Livestock will not be loaded into floats until<br />

permission to do so is given by the Stewards.<br />

Those transgressing this Rule may be detained till<br />

all the other Stock is removed.<br />

JUDGING<br />

Days and Times of Judging<br />

32.1. The Judges will commence their inspection<br />

on the days and at the times stated in this Prize<br />

List and while every effort will be made to<br />

adhere to the judging days and times they may<br />

be subject to alteration. Sheep, Goats, Cattle and<br />

Heavy Horses will be exhibited on Thursday,<br />

Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Light Horses will be<br />

exhibited only on the day of judging.<br />

32.2. Any animal selected by the Stewards may<br />

be required to take part in Stock Judging or any<br />

other appropriate Competition.<br />

Entry to Judging Ring<br />

33.1. Animals will only be allowed to enter a<br />

judging ring at the discretion of the judge when<br />

judging has commenced, and under no<br />

circumstances will judging of a class be delayed<br />

to await an animal which is being judged in<br />

another class.<br />

33.2. Only Judges, Directors in charge of each<br />

Section and Stewards may enter the Judging<br />

Ring to officiate. Other persons may only enter<br />

the Ring with express permission of the Chief<br />

Steward or the Director in charge of that Section.<br />

33.3. Only Judges, Directors in charge of each<br />

Section, Stewards and Commentators may enter<br />

the Commentators’ Boxes, unless at the<br />

discretion of the Chief Steward of that Section.<br />
