Cancellation of Stalls<br />

12. Where a stall reservation in the Beef Cattle,<br />

Dairy Cattle or Heavy Horse Classes is cancelled<br />

in writing before 13th May the Stall fee will be<br />

refunded, after deduction of a £5<br />

administration fee. In the case of Sheep this is<br />

combined with the entry fee and this later<br />

cancellation date applies.<br />

Rejecting Entries<br />

13. The Board of Directors reserves the right to<br />

refuse any entries it may think fit to exclude, or<br />

to cancel any entry made, or to prohibit the<br />

exhibition of any entry, or to cancel any Prize or<br />

Prizes awarded to any animal in respect of which<br />

a valid protest has been lodged or which is<br />

found to have been ineligible to compete.<br />

Animal Health<br />

14.1. Details of the relevant Animal Health<br />

Regulations are contained in this Prize List.<br />

14.2. Animals suffering from any form of<br />

infectious or contagious disease - including<br />

ringworm or other form of infectious or<br />

contagious skin ailment - must not be brought<br />

to the <strong>Show</strong>.<br />

14.3. The Stewards have the power to require<br />

that any animal showing any such symptoms be<br />

examined by the Official Veterinary Surgeons,<br />

and, if found to be so infected shall be isolated<br />

or excluded from the <strong>Show</strong>ground. All cattle<br />

showing any signs of ringworm shall, at the<br />

discretion of the Official Veterinary Surgeons or<br />

Chief Steward, be removed from the<br />

<strong>Show</strong>ground and the production of a Veterinary<br />

Certificate relating to treatment shall not<br />

exempt any animal from this ruling.<br />

14.4. The Chief Steward in consultation with the<br />

Official Veterinary Surgeons shall have authority<br />

to prohibit the access of persons and animals to<br />

certain areas which will be clearly signposted.<br />

14.5. During judging of a class the decision of<br />

the judge with regard to soundness is final.<br />

14.6. All livestock susceptible to Blue Tongue<br />

coming to the <strong>Show</strong> must comply with current<br />

legislation and regulations.<br />

15.2. If any section(s) of the <strong>Show</strong> is or are<br />

cancelled by the Society as a result of any<br />

circumstances whether within or outwith the<br />

Society’s reasonable control, the Society will (a)<br />

in respect of the cancelled section(s) refund the<br />

entry fees and stalling or stabling fees, and (b)<br />

unless the Exhibitor has also entered for a<br />

section which is not cancelled, refund any<br />

caravan site bookings, hay bale tickets, parking<br />

permit costs and pre-bought extra tickets.<br />

Exhibitors should note that there will be no<br />

refund of any Society Membership Fees<br />

including joining fees and annual or other<br />

subscriptions.<br />

Breed Section<br />

15.3. In the event of the entries in any section of<br />

Sheep, Goats and Horses being less in number<br />

than an average of five per class or the entries in<br />

any section of Cattle being less in number than<br />

an average of four per class, and the number of<br />

different Exhibitors in the section being less than<br />

three, the classes will be cancelled. Nevertheless,<br />

two or more classes may be combined if by so<br />

doing the viability of the section is ensured. In<br />

reaching any decision in the cattle sections, the<br />

number of stalls booked for the breed in<br />

question will also be taken into consideration.<br />

15.4. If in any year a Breed has failed to meet the<br />

conditions contained in 15.3 and the section has<br />

in consequence been cancelled, classes will be<br />

offered for the subsequent year. However, if<br />

numbers in that subsequent year do not meet<br />

the criteria the Board of Directors will not<br />

consider an application for the provision of<br />

classes until after two succeeding <strong>Show</strong>s.<br />

15.1. If the <strong>Show</strong> is cancelled by the Society as a<br />

result of any circumstances whether within or<br />
