The Horse of the Year Show Cuddy Breeders Challenge Supreme In-Hand Championship. The Best Animal may be eligible. See page 34 for details. The National Welsh & Part-Bred Championship Show. The two highest placed Welsh Part Bred, over 14.2 will qualify for The National Supreme WP-BR In-Hand Championship, sponsored by Brightwells. The Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) The Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) will award Special Incentive Rosettes to the highest placed Irish Draught Horse (pure bred) or Irish Draught Sport Horse (part bred) in the above classes. All exhibits must be identified/registered with the Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) on either their Irish Draught or Sport Horse registers 36
HUNTERS UNDER-SADDLE Exhibitors should note the scheduled time of commencement of judging of their section, as shown below, and ensure that their animals are on the Showground in good time for judging. It is hoped that the owners of the Champion and Reserve Champion will allow these Animals to remain overnight on Thursday and take part in the Parade on Friday afternoon. Stabling will be made available free of charge to the Champion and Reserve Champion Animals only. Other horses travelling with these animals will be charged the appropriate stabling fee if it is essential that they also remain on the Showground. Note: Eligibility of Exhibit, see Reg. 104. Riders must be properly dressed. All Hunters Under-Saddle classes at this Show are affiliated to Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in Hunters Under- Saddle classes are subject to the constitution and rules of SHB (GB) including the disciplinary procedures, and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of SHB (GB). Horse of the Year Show Qualifying Classes: The Hunter classes prefixed with “HOYS” are qualifying classes for the 2011 Horse of the Year Show which runs from 5th - 9th October. In the Lightweight, Middleweight, Heavyweight, Small Hunter and Working Hunter classes, the highest placed unqualified horse in the first four will qualify to enter at HOYS. No horse lower than fourth will qualify. The Sponsor of the Weights classes at HOYS for 2011 is Topspec. The National Hunter Supreme Championship Show Qualifying Classes The Weights and Small Hunter Classes are qualifying classes for the 2011 National Hunter Supreme Championship Show to be held at Addington Manor Equestrian Centre on 6th - 7th September. The three highest placed horses in each of the classes will qualify to enter. No horse lower than third place will qualify. IMPORTANT All entries in the Hunters Under-Saddle classes must be on the Basic Identity Record or Stud Book of SHB (GB). Registration numbers must be given on the entry form There must be no alteration to the natural markings of a horse. In Hunters Under Saddle HOYS qualifying classes, both owners and riders must be members of SHB (GB) and only horses that are registered on SHB (GB) 2011 Show Hunter Register are eligible to enter. The Show Registration number must be quoted on all entry forms. Alternatively, an exhibitor may make a Temporary Registration with SHB (GB) at a cost of £12, which would allow competition at three qualifying shows; if the horse qualifies, then full registration must be completed before the Championship Show for which the horse has qualified. £12 refund will be given For further details, apply to: Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain, 96 High Street, Edenbridge, Kent, TN8 5AR (Tel. 01732-866277). HEADWEAR: Anyone on a horse must wear a hard hat. A skull cap or hat and safety harness according to current approved BSI or European Standard must be worn by ALL competitors in the jumping phase of the Working Hunter Class. Skull caps must have a navy blue or black cover. SAFETY: The Organisers of this Show have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers and all the Officials and Stewards Although every effort will be made, it may not be possible for the Judge to ride every horse in each class. RESTRICTION ON ENTRIES: No horse may be entered in both a Hunters Under-Saddle Class and a Riding Horse Class.
