What does the course involve?
This course allows you to develop drawing and painting skills
and create imaginative work based on your own research. You
will receive tuition in a wide range of materials and techniques
including some photography. You will also look at the work of
other artists from renaissance to the present day which will inform
your studies and stimulate your imagination.

Additional Entry Requirements
A good portfolio of drawings and paintings would be helpful.
How will I be assessed
AS - Coursework and 5 hour controlled test.
A2 - Coursework and 15 hour controlled test.
What can I do after the course?
Apply to Higher Education for a wide range of courses such as Fine
Art, Graphic Design and Computer Games Design.

What does the course involve?
This course is an exciting mixture of Art and Graphic Design. Using
non-traditional art techniques and digital image manipulation to
produce innovative and contemporary work.
The first unit will incorporate short assignments with a wide
range of starting points to follow and create your own personal
response.
The second unit will be based around the topics set by AQA and
will focus on individual development of ideas, concepts and
methods to produce new work.

Additional Entry Requirements
Students also require a grade C or above in GCSE Art or Graphics or
a folder of work.
How will I be assessed
AS Coursework and 5 hour controlled test. A2 Coursework and 15
hour controlled test.
What can I do after the course?
A wide range of Higher Education courses including Experimental
Imaging, Graphics, Illustration and Photography.
