Hon. Lisa Rose, J.S.C.<br />
Judge Rose took <strong>the</strong> oath of office on July 11, 2011, <strong>and</strong> since<br />
that date, has been assigned to <strong>the</strong> Criminal Division in Hudson<br />
County where she presides over all of <strong>the</strong> child abuse cases in <strong>the</strong><br />
County <strong>and</strong> general crimes. Judge Rose is a member of <strong>the</strong> Supreme<br />
Court <strong>Model</strong> Criminal <strong>Jury</strong> Charge Committee, <strong>and</strong> is designated as a<br />
Wiretap <strong>and</strong> Communications Data Warrant judge.<br />
Prior to taking <strong>the</strong> bench, from 2002 until July 10, 2011, Judge<br />
Rose was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in <strong>the</strong> U.S. Attorney’s Office for<br />
<strong>the</strong> District of <strong>New</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong> where she was last assigned to <strong>the</strong> National<br />
Security Unit as a liaison with <strong>the</strong> Department of Defense. From 2000<br />
to 2002, she was an associate <strong>and</strong> oversaw <strong>the</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong> City office of<br />
<strong>the</strong> Melito & Adolfsen law firm. Judge Rose also served as a Deputy<br />
Attorney General in <strong>the</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>State</strong> Attorney General’s Office<br />
from 1999 to 2000; as an Assistant Prosecutor in <strong>the</strong> Essex County<br />
Prosecutor’s Office from 1989 to 1999; <strong>and</strong> as associate in <strong>the</strong> law firm<br />
of Siff, Rosen & Parker in <strong>New</strong>ark from 1987 to 1989.<br />
Judge Rose received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School<br />
of Law in 1987 <strong>and</strong> her B.A. from Rutgers University in 1984. She is<br />
admitted to <strong>the</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>New</strong> York bars.<br />
Judge Rose is a member of <strong>the</strong> <strong>State</strong> Bar Association, <strong>the</strong><br />
Hudson County Bar Association <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong> Women Lawyers<br />
Association. She enjoys road bike riding in her spare time.
