Joshua S<strong>and</strong>ers’s Bio for NJSBA 2013 Training<br />

Joshua S<strong>and</strong>ers began his legal career working for an AmLaw<br />

100 firm representing management exclusively in workplace<br />

law. He <strong>the</strong>n transitioned from corporate law to <strong>the</strong> <strong>New</strong><br />

<strong>Jersey</strong> Office of <strong>the</strong> Public Defender, first as a trial<br />

attorney in <strong>the</strong> Hudson Region, <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong>n as an attorney in<br />

its state-wide Appellate Section. Mr. S<strong>and</strong>ers has<br />

performed numerous trainings for <strong>the</strong> NJOPD on topics<br />

including: eyewitness identification, emergent <strong>and</strong><br />

interlocutory appeals, NGRI hearings, <strong>and</strong> false<br />

confessions. Mr. S<strong>and</strong>ers earned a B.A. from Delaware<br />

Valley College, magna cum laude, <strong>and</strong> a J.D. from <strong>New</strong> York<br />

Law School, magna cum laude. Mr. S<strong>and</strong>ers was co-counsel<br />

with Public Defender Joseph E. Krakora on <strong>State</strong> v. Larry R.<br />

<strong>Henderson</strong>, 208 N.J. 208 (2011).
