Scottish Neurobehavioural Rehabilitation Service<br />
Aims<br />
• To provide treatment <strong>of</strong> head injured adults with associated<br />
challenging behaviour<br />
Main Activities and <strong>Services</strong><br />
• To provide therapeutic programmes which promote mobility,<br />
optimum physical functioning, increase cognitive and social skills and<br />
reduce physical and mental disability.<br />
• To provide opportunities for social and recreational activities.<br />
• To provide support and advice to relatives, carers and relevant<br />
pr<strong>of</strong>essionals.<br />
• To provide a high quality and standard <strong>of</strong> treatment, care and<br />
therapy.<br />
• We work with a multi disciplinary approach with nursing staff, a<br />
neuropsychiatrist, psychologists, speech and language therapists,<br />
physiotherapists, social workers, dieticians, and art therapy.<br />

This is a 24 hour unit, but the <strong>of</strong>fice<br />

see whether they are suitable for<br />
this type <strong>of</strong> rehabilitation. This<br />
service is primarily for people who<br />
have a behavioural problem after a<br />
brain injury.<br />

This is an NHS service so the NHS<br />
covers the costs.<br />

People with a brain injury and<br />
