Exercise Referral Scheme
Aims
• To help people to increase their fitness level through physical activity.
Main Activities and Services
• If this scheme is appropriate for you, you can be referred by your GP,
Practice Nurse or Physiotherapist.
• Once referred you will be invited to attend an exercise consultation, in
your local area, with an exercise counselor. You will enroll onto the
scheme for 12 months where you will:
• Receive advice, support and encouragement from an exercise
counselor to help you become and stay regularly physically active
• Have an opportunity to meet other people and try new activities
• Have access to local authority facilities at a discounted price for up to
12 months.

in Glasgow and others in West and
East Dunbartonshire, South
Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire.
Cost
Referral: Free Further Admission at
Discounted rates for 12 months.
