he Chicken Chef Mixed Championship is held in<br />
the spring to declare <strong>Manitoba</strong>’s representative<br />
at the following year’s Canadian Mixed Championship.<br />
In addition to the Championship trophy the<br />
winner and runner-up receive individual plaques.<br />
The winners also receive the <strong>Manitoba</strong> bison crests,<br />
provincial jackets and shirts, a travel grant and a<br />
banner to hang in their club.<br />
At the 2012 Canadian Championship held in<br />
Sudbury, Ontario, the <strong>Manitoba</strong> team skipped by<br />
Sean Grassie from the Deer Lodge <strong>Curling</strong> Club<br />
finished with a record of 8 and 5 in the round robin<br />
and just out of the playoffs.<br />
The 2013 Chicken Chef Provincial Mixed<br />
Championship was held at the Fort Rouge <strong>Curling</strong><br />
Club. The Brandon <strong>Curling</strong> Club’s Terry McNamee<br />
team finished the championship with a final game<br />
victory over the David Kraichy team from the<br />
Fort Rouge <strong>Curling</strong> Club. The team will represent<br />
<strong>Manitoba</strong> at the Canadian Mixed Championship in<br />
Montreal, Quebec, November 15-24, 2012.<br />
The 2014 Chicken Chef Provincial Mixed<br />
Championship will be played at the Carman <strong>Curling</strong><br />
Club, from March 21-25, 2013.<br />
