s of 2006, the Cec Watt Memorial Trophy<br />
A sponsored this event in the Junior Men’s<br />
Christmas Bonspiel. Cec Watt was a legendary<br />
booster of junior curling. He curled in the <strong>Manitoba</strong><br />
Schools (junior) Bonspiel in his youth, and later guided<br />
its operation and administration. He co-ordinated<br />
the group that sponsored the Dan Davidson Trophy<br />
for 36 years. This trophy will serve to perpetuate his<br />
memory and service to curling. Cec Watt died on<br />
September 15, 2006.<br />
In support of the Cec Watt Memorial Trophy, a<br />
group of gentlemen also donate individual prizes<br />
in this competition for the winners, second place<br />
and semi-finalist teams. Four individual plaques are<br />
presented to the winners by Curl<strong>Manitoba</strong>.<br />
rules<br />
1. This competition shall be open to all teams<br />
entered in the Curl<strong>Manitoba</strong> – Junior Men’s<br />
Bonspiel and losing their second game drawn in<br />
the Free Press Event or their first game drawn in<br />
the Awards & More Event.<br />
2. The school or club winning the trophy shall have<br />
custody of it for one year upon giving ample<br />
security for its return. The prizes, however, shall<br />
become the property of the members of the<br />
respective winning teams.<br />
