Championship Trophy, <strong>Manitoba</strong> bison crests,<br />
provincial jackets and shirts, a travel grant and a<br />
banner to hang in their club.<br />
The winner of the Senior Women’s Provincial<br />
Championship represents <strong>Manitoba</strong> at the Canadian<br />
Senior Women’s Championship.<br />
Last year’s provincial championship was played at<br />
the Stonewall <strong>Curling</strong> Club where the Laurie Deprez<br />
team from the Stonewall <strong>Curling</strong> Club defeated the<br />
Lois Fowler team from the Brandon <strong>Curling</strong> Club to<br />
capture the Senior Women’s title. They went on to<br />
the Canadian Championship held in Abbotsford, BC<br />
where they finished with a record of 5 and 6 and<br />
out of the playoffs. The final was won by the Cathy<br />
King team from Alberta.<br />
There was a World Senior Men’s and Women’s<br />
Championship held in Taarnby, Denmark from April<br />
14-21, 2012.<br />
The 2012-2013 Senior Women’s Championship<br />
will be played at the Souris <strong>Curling</strong> Club from<br />
February 21-24, 2013. The Canadian Senior Women’s<br />
Championship will be held in Summerside, PEI from<br />
March 16-24, 2013.<br />
