KARNEVAL – START OF THE “FIFTH SEASON”<br />

As of February 1, 2008, Prince Karneval takes over the reign in <strong>German</strong>y.<br />

Whether you celebrate “Fastnacht” in Munich, “Fassenacht” in Mainz or<br />

“Karneval” in Düsseldorf oder Kölle (Cologne): You will never see <strong>German</strong>s<br />

in a more cheerful or friskier mood than during Karneval. Especially on<br />

“Rose Monday” (Feb. 4, 2008) when people take to the streets, singing,<br />

dancing, celebrating. On Ash Wednesday (Feb. 6, 2008), the party is over.<br />

Until November 11 at 11.11AM when the new “Fifth Season” starts …<br />

We’ll tell you where to celebrate Karneval the <strong>German</strong> way in the US:<br />
