Have-a-go days
Interested in a subject but not sure it’s for you? Just have a go!
Our have-a-go sessions are designed to give you a taste of a subject
or skill area to help you decide if it’s for you. They are available at all
campuses and run from 10am to 3pm.
All you need to do is have a look, choose what you’d like to have a
go at and then register for a place at cwa.ac.uk/haveago

DESCRIPTION
Explore and create – experiment with graphics, photography, mixed media and painting to create
original artwork.
Learn to identify correct use of materials and tools,
practice trowel skills and how to lay bricks to create a wall.
You will need to wear suitable clothing and steel toe-capped boots*.
You will be challenged to create a marketing campaign for a new product.
Learn to use hand tools to cut and shape timber, including chisels,
hammers, mallets and a combination square.
You will need to wear suitable clothing and steel toe-capped boots*.
Experience the hustle and bustle of a professional kitchen and make sure
your dish is good enough to get past the pass.
You will need to provide your own suitable closed, non-slip footwear and clothing.
Learn how to care for electronic babies; practice bathing them
and take part in creative activities. You will also be given an introduction
to caring for children and play activities.
Learn how to carry out basic PC maintenance with fault-finding,
problem-solving and experience installing operating systems.
Learn how to use hand tools to cut, shape,
fasten and form sheet metal components.
You will need to wear suitable clothing and steel toe-capped boots*.
