Students take afternoon
tea in style
Four students from CWA were the envy of their
friends as they won the chance to take afternoon
tea at the world-famous Fortnum and Mason
store in London.
The prize came from the students’ successes in a
national cake-making competition in London at
the Westminster College.
Emma’s raspberry layer cake with a touch of
elderflower won her a certificate for first prize;
Elizabeth came third and Loren and Matthew
were also praised.
Loren made three different sorts of cupcakes,
including one flavoured with real champagne;
Elizabeth made a seed cake, while Matthew
produced a topical 20cm replica of the Olympic
stadium as a chocolate cake.
