Equine
Are you passionate about horses?
If you are committed to horse welfare, or
you’d love to work in the equine industry,
you’ll need to get the right experience, skills
and qualifications. Our courses have been
specifically designed to meet the needs of
employers in this field.
The excellent location of the Cambridge campus
provides you with an outstanding opportunity to
progress your equine industry understanding and
employment opportunities on a local, regional
and national scale.
You will benefit from hands on experience and a
wealth of knowledge from the dedicated team
of equine management specialists as well as
excellent facilities including the equestrian centre,
equine therapy centre and the Cambridgeshire
Horse Sports Academy.
Areas studied include horse preparation and
presentation, horse rehabilitation and therapy,
horse behaviour and welfare, stable skills, horse
husbandry, riding horses and event management.
Cambridgeshire Horse Sport Academy
The Cambridgeshire Horse Sport Academy
(CHSA) aims to increase knowledge and
experience in a wide range of equestrian
disciplines, including driving, side saddle,
polocrosse, vaulting, horseball and TREC.
The CHSA aims to harness the diversity
within the equine world and maximise
participation in the widest form possible.
For riders or non-riders, horse owners
or non-horse owners, the CHSA takes
advantage of the excellent facilities
available at CWA.
