of H12/SN-OBS-1, which is a composite of two intermediate products, is already available.
Objectives:
To adopt the developed algorithm for NOAA AVHRR 18, 19, Metop.
To develop better cloud masking.
To perform updating in the algorithm using the validation results.

To study possible improvements using new approaches, to calibrate, characterise snow products (and their
errors) existing at the end of CDOP (H13) for non-mountainous areas. Specifically:
-find out the suitability of Sentinel 3 for SWE product generation

Development and tuning of the algorithms for the products already being developed. The operational chain
of H13/SN-OBS-4, which is a composite of two intermediate products, is already available.
To update the algorithm considering the grain size retrieved from the measured snow depths at the WMO
meteorological stations in order to achieve the user requirements.
To update/develop the algorithms for new satellites (MTG/FCI, Metop, Sentinel,etc).
