It includes secretariat services for administrative tasks and events organization. Main tasks are: • Support to the Steering Group and coordination of the Project Team; • Organization of Steering Group meetings and Project Team meetings; • Organization of Review Meetings and support activities to EUMETSAT Secretariat and Review Board; • Management of the Visiting Scientist activities; • Reporting and communication according SAF network requirements; • Documentation control • Configuration management • Coordination of deliverables according to agreements; • Coordination of web portal and help desk • Engineering and technical task coordination • Scientific tasks coordination • Secretariat services for administrative tasks and events organisation. It is decomposed into: WP S-1110 Project Management WBE S-1120 Cluster Coordination WP S-1130 Central Operations Coordination WP S-1140 Linkage to external programmes Moreover, the WBE S-1120 Cluster Coordination is furtherly decomposed into the following fourth level Work Packages: • WP S-1121 – Precipitation Cluster Coordination • WP S-1122 – Soil Moisture Cluster Coordination • WP S-1123 – Snow Cluster Coordination • WP S-1124 – Hydrovalidation Cluster Coordination • WP S-1125 – Product Validation Cluster Coordination The activites of the Hydrovalidation Cluster Coordination and Product Validation Cluster Coordination Work Packages, in particular, include the integration of the hydrovalidation and product validation activities performed by each participant, and the integration of each contribution to the Reports foreseen as Project Deliverables (PVR, HVR) into the final version of the documents to be delivered. During the CDOP-2 timeframe, the Project Planning, Coordination and Control will accomplish to the updating of planning elements by maintaining the Project Plan, and to the reporting function towards EUMETSAT by mean of dedicated documents, (Project Status Report, Financial Asset and Costs Report). A. 190 WP Number S-1300 Title Engineering Management Responsible Country Italy Responsible Institute Telespazio Participants Start time T0 End time T0+60 Objectives and tasks: Engineering Management provides general coordination of the engineering activities that take place at the various product generation centres. It provides guidance aiming at harmonising the engineering procedures applied by the product generation centres, with special emphasis on the implementation of user-friendly standard codes and formats. It includes, moreover, the activities of verification and regression testing necessary to ensure correct integration of new or improved algorithms into the operational chains. Configuration management activities are also coordinated by the Engineering Management This task provides the engineering documentation needed for the Review meetings.
