The diversification of gases begun years before was maintained, with the continued appearance of new applications. Along these lines of diversification, in 1979 it was agreed to acquire a nitrogen protoxide installation and to sign a supply contract with Argón SA 12 to have this gas available while the production of Abelló, Oxígeno-<strong>Linde</strong> was insufficient to keep the market supplied.
