On Wednesday evening Debs succumbed in<br />
<strong>the</strong> semi-final, two sets <strong>to</strong> one, <strong>to</strong> a highly rated<br />
opponent. Although she was disappointed <strong>to</strong> lose <strong>the</strong><br />
match she was satisfied with her overall performance<br />
during <strong>the</strong> <strong>to</strong>urnament.<br />
Lady Der<strong>by</strong> Hunting<strong>to</strong>n had a hot bubble bath<br />
and an ice cold bottle of Veuve de Cliquet ready for<br />
her when she returned <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> facility.<br />
“You were fantastic,” her grub<strong>by</strong> enthused.<br />
“We were all watching on <strong>the</strong> tennis channel, it was<br />
so exciting.”<br />
Debs smiled affectionately at Der<strong>by</strong>. “Thanks,”<br />
she said as she accepted a glass of bubbles. “So<br />
how’s it been going here?”<br />
Der<strong>by</strong> giggled. “Well you know about <strong>the</strong><br />
horsing, of course. <strong>The</strong> Radical Right have been very<br />
low profile ever since. <strong>The</strong>y just, kind of, skulk about<br />
<strong>the</strong> place.”<br />
Debs grinned. “Don’t be fooled <strong>by</strong> that. Trust<br />
me, <strong>the</strong>y’ll regroup, you can’t keep a true whop junkie<br />
down.”
