She kicked Katie in <strong>the</strong> shins and elbowed me in <strong>the</strong><br />
ribs.”<br />
Mr Humphries stared at Ms Hodge. Claire had<br />
made no bones about <strong>the</strong> fact she had kicked Katie<br />
and poked Ms Hodge.<br />
“I just couldn’t bear <strong>the</strong> thought of being<br />
hauled over Katie’s back just so <strong>the</strong>y could get <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
jollies,” she’d <strong>to</strong>ld him. “I know I’m due a thrashing<br />
but I’m begging you Sir, don’t let <strong>the</strong>m horse me.”
