Lady Der<strong>by</strong> panted with excitement as she<br />
waited for <strong>the</strong> sixth stroke <strong>to</strong> arrive. <strong>The</strong> first five<br />
strokes were throbbing delightfully and she was<br />
certain that <strong>the</strong> closer would finish <strong>the</strong> job. She heard<br />
a whistle from behind her and <strong>the</strong>n an implosion of<br />
pain wracked through her body.<br />
“Two dustings and six of <strong>the</strong> best?” grinned<br />
Debs. “You have been busy.”<br />
“Are you going <strong>to</strong> spank me?” demanded Lady<br />
Der<strong>by</strong>.<br />
Debs shook her head. “No sweetie I am not<br />
going <strong>to</strong> spank you.”<br />
Der<strong>by</strong> pouted. “She never spanks me,” she<br />
complained <strong>to</strong> Kate Faulkner and Angie Ashurst. “It’s<br />
not fair.”<br />
<strong>The</strong> two police-women grinned. <strong>The</strong>y had<br />
become fond of Der<strong>by</strong> but unders<strong>to</strong>od that she had a<br />
few bats loose in <strong>the</strong> belfry.
