Come relax in these small, tranquil communities where life is full and
the pace is deliciously relaxed. Falkland is a settlement of about 600
residents situated near Highway 97‚ halfway between Kamloops and
Vernon. It’s recognized as a ranching community but forestry, small
business and the exceptional retirement amenities are all part of the
story here.
Drive from Salmon Arm to Falkland through the scenic Salmon Valley
where you will discover a peaceful rural setting. Stop at the small
community of Silver Creek to explore our heritage buildings
and displays.
Try traveling south of Salmon Arm on Highway 97B through Ranchero
and west to Gardom Lake, an ideal spot for fishing and picnicking for
the whole family. Or continue
further south on Highway 97B
and take the Deep Creek Road
where dairy farming is fast
becoming the main economy.
Falkland is home to the worldrenowned
Falkland Stampede
every year on the May long
weekend. Hang-on for eight
seconds and you could win
a belt buckle! There’s no
better event to pick than the
fine picking’ at the July Blue
Grass Jamboree. And further
light-up the fun possibilities at
December 1 Christmas Light-up
and Falkland Family Christmas
Party. Visit and step back in
time at Falkland Heritage Park
and Museum’s heritage days.
